This will be a class on what goes into your purse. There will be 3 possibilities, and you can pick which one you want to complete. All require the same techniques and can be personalized. The first option is a purse organizer pattern that the teacher, Nancy McKenzie, developed. She will email you that pattern if you like for a $5 donation to the Grandmothers to Grandmothers project. The other two options are organizer wallets that can be purchased on the internet. They are from PoldaPop.

Class — Beginner Serging
This will be a half-day class of basic serger, so if you are new to serging or looking for a refresher course, this is the class for you. We will go over all the parts of the serger, threading for 4 thread basic serging, 3 thread wide, and 3 thread narrow. This will give you most of the basic threading you will need. If we cover this in time we can do a very simple project with our stitches. Questions and answers about what your serger can and can’t do and how to do it. Please bring your serger, in good working order, serger thread that matches the threading on your machine, (for example my machine has pink, yellow, green and blue) and 4 cones of whatever basic color you want to rethread your serger with before you go home so you are ready to sew when you get back to your sewing room. Also bring your serger manual and all accessories that go with your machine, pen and paper for taking notes, and some scissors.
