Despite the COVID dampening of things to end 2020, Guild members didn’t let that dampen their spirits by turning out in great numbers for our December Zoom meeting! Members showed up in their best “everyday exuberance” holiday outfits, with spirits to match, to learn about sewing gadgets some Guild members can’t live without, see what others had made in Sew & Tell, and share good cheers in a little sewcialization time. Here’s a sampling of what took place (thanks to Secretary Carolyn and member Reina for the notes and slide show photos).
This fall, two mini-challenges were issued by members of the Guild:
- Pat M suggested sewing something up that makes this season more snug & comfy & welcoming, whether a gift or for some lovely self care; and
- Karen L suggested sewing something with the oldest piece of fabric in your stash, or at least a fairly old one.
On November 12, 2020, the Atlantic Sewing Guild held its first virtual AGM, due to COVID-19 restrictions forbidding large gatherings. Despite not being able to meet in person, our spirits were not the least bit dampened, as shown by all the happy, smiling faces on the Zoom collage, and chatter and laughter heard. But we also got lots of “business” done, as usual.
